| Notre Dame...in black and white |
 |
| There is a name for this which I forgot but it's the point on the island where the river divides as the sun sets a lot of people sit outside and watch the sun set. |
 |
| I run past this statue in the Tuilleries Garden and it somehow seems appropriate...I sometimes wish someone was carrying me too. |

| Notre Dame |
So the rain has returned. Thankfully at least once a day the sun will peep its head out so we sit ready to dart to the park. Yesterday it poured. Poor Todd got soaked on his way between clinics and we sat inside most the day watching it rain. Todd is enjoying his work. He works with a very well known if not the most well know cosmetic surgeon in Paris. He is a very friendly funny guy and Todd enjoys his time with him. He also works at a Hand surgery clinic and is enjoying that as well. Austin got a chance to Skype with his class. He was excited all day to do it. A few moments before they were scheduled to call I checked and had an email from his teacher that his FaceTime was not working and he was asking if we had skype. We didn't but I scurried to get it installed and set up which was a slight challenge due to the fact all these sites are in French now that we're here. So signing up was exciting. But it all worked out and Austin enjoyed chatting with his school mates. It was their last day of school and I knew this but was hoping the boys did not pick up on that as I plan on just keeping school going and they'd surly object should they realize.
I went for a long run yesterday. I did not really intend to but just felt good and kept going. So I ran about 10 miles. It's pretty amazing how much of the city I have been able to see running. It's almost hard to find places I have not run before. Every time I set out to find a new street I realize I have been on it before. Plus it's the only time of day I am away from the kids and alone so that's a pretty good incentive to stay out.

| French Burgers....they don't sell buns here just Baguettes. |
So as good as all the food is here the luster of French cooking is wearing off. We tried something new the other day...Hamburgers. They don't really sell ground beef that readily. But they do sell pre-formed burgers. They are oval shaped not round. The only thing I can assume from this is that they intend you to use a baguette for the bun. I assume this because there are no hamburger buns to be found in Paris.

So Austin finally passed "the test." To Todd's credit he milked the test thing for all it was worth. Austin ended up taking at least 6 tests and is now FAR better at both math and patience with himself. Plus he got his game but not before cracking us up. He said he wanted me to take a picture of "dad when he pushed purchase on iTunes, because his finger is going to be shaking." Austin is now very happy with his Major League baseball management game which was very much earned.
