Tennis elbow and Goose Eggs.

I had little to write yesterday so I gave it a break. It's hard to believe we have been here 2 weeks already.

Time just flies by. You can really see spring blooming before your eyes now. The trees on our ave are all getting leaves and some trees have so many blooms that when the wind blows at times it looks like it's raining rose peddles. Yesterday really the only thing of note was that I went for an 8 mile run(I was trying to do Todd's route that was 10 but missed something.) I was running along what I guess you would call the bank of the Seine. There is the street level along the river, but in places there is actually a lower bank. It's paved in cobble stones, which makes for a tough running surface) and is generally about 10' wide. There are very few people down there. In contrast to the sidewalks along the street which around some places is packed. It's really beautiful though, you feel like you have been dropped into another time without cars or people. It's also very quiet. In fact the smell is the only thing I would say is unpleasant...a combination of fresh spray paint and urine in places. Speaking of pee, it is apparently socially acceptable for men at least to pee where they see fit.

This could range from a tree to right in the middle of the street.

So being married to Todd paid off in his ability to diagnose me with Tennis elbow. My lower arm hurt and he poked around a bit. It took 2 seconds for me to know why....the stroller. That thing is saving us, but at a price, my forearms. It is not easy to push on these streets at times, especially when they are uneven. It can take all your force to keep that thing on a straight path. The only other injury of note is a goose egg Sierra is sporting on her forehead. She acquired it while playing with Austin. He "meant to throw her on the couch but she missed and landed on the floor." He has spent the greater part of the day looking after her, giving her whatever she wants. It's cute he feels really bad and is worried, it's a pretty awful looking thing, even she freaked out when she saw it in the mirror.
I posted a picture of Jackson's "collection box." The kid collects stuff wherever he goes. If fact every time I cleaned out his backpack the pockets were full of little things he had found, paperclips, string, etc. So while I am sure I am encouraging a future hoarder he seems to be enjoying finding random things on the street, mainly feathers and bottle caps.
We finally went to the "real" super Marche. I cannot imagine what people who are used to shopping like this think when they walk into our, what now seems to be, overwhelmingly large supermarkets. It's been pretty cold, today was the coldest. The Paris Marathon was today. I found out late or one of us would have run it(it was sold out by the time I realized.) So we got everyone up and went a watched a little of it. We went to mile 23ish, where to the hurt begins...or continues for some. It was super windy and cold but beautiful as always.
