So schools in. I guess because it's Monday and for the most part the kids have had a week off of school we decided to start with more gusto today on school work. I think the kids were under the impression I had forgotten as it was not the activity they had hoped to do today. So after some whining, complaining, threat from dad, and the stink eye from Austin we began. They are actually very good about it after they get over the initial "I am not going to make this easy on you show." We are running out of paper and I am completely at a loss as to where to get more. I know that sounds stupid but it's a reality. There is a stationary store on the block next but I am quite sure that's not where I will find plain white paper. If anyones got any ideas I am all ears. I went for a great run today. It had started to rain a little but I ventured out. I actually prefer to run in the rain, it's distracting. It was also a lot less crowded. I could not resist running to and around the Louvre again. While I was stopped taking a picture the police where obviously trying to find someone who was hiding in one of the bush mazes that are there, a clever place to hide. Todd ran and finished taxes, yay.
One a side note our apartment is really very quiet we can almost never hear our neighbors except...our upstairs neighbor who is a beautiful pianist. I woke up to Clair du lune being played that was totally perfect. But he/she(not sure which is the pianist) also has a very active night life so to speak. Which at first was funny until we heard it again over breakfast...and the next afternoon, evening...SERIOUSLY?! Hopefully they will tire shortly and I won't have to keep moving children strategically out of certain places in the apartment.
It's good entertainment as we discovered that DVD players have regions...yes your dvd won't play here. And I am pretty sure I fried the Wii plug when I plugged it in, which has actually been a blessing because I hate that thing and an not really sure why I brought it. So amazingly we have had to resort to reading, albeit on a kindle and coloring. Oh ya I made chocolate and banana crepes...again. :D
I'm putting together a package of pettie surprises to send. I bought Austin his favorite tooth paste. Anything you want or don't want? I'll send some papier pour l'colle? Oui? Je t'aime Mere. I know can't spell in any language
ReplyDeleteTres Bon. Thanks we'd love it. It will make for a good adventure when we go to get it. In fact it may be easier to send it to Todds work cuz I dont have the slightest idea how mail works here. Are you working, I guess tomorrow? We should face time. Xoxo
